Tejal shah is the founder and director of realistic health. She is a personal and online consultancy expert.

Tejal Shah, a Post graduate in Medical Laboratory Technology; she has acquired her Bachelors in Food science and Nutrition with specialisation in Dietetics, Diploma in Clinical nutrition and she is also a certified Diabetic Educator.  She has also done a basic course in intro to Translational Nutrigenetics.

Food and nutrition plays such a big role in our lives but sometimes due to unhealthy food habits we face many health problems. So healthy eating is very much important. My weight loss journey started a few months ago when I turned 28. Through a friend of mine I came to
know about Tejal Shah. I was not sure of what I’m getting into, I took the first step and got her
appointment. During my first session, her questions about my lifestyle, diet and eating habits made me

session I got the idea that this is going to be one hell of a journey. But to my surprise, the diet that Tejal

I had been overweight since a long time. There were couple of times when I joined a
gym to lose weight but didn't continue for long as it was taking time to show results.
However, in the recent couple of years, my weight just shot up due to a sedentary life –
credits my job life. I again started gyming in an attempt to lose weight. I did reduce
some weight though at a lower pace. I was dedicted to continue it this time. At the same
time, a friend said that she was consulting Tejal for weight loss and I could see the
difference in her.

That’s when I decided to give dieting a try and met Tejal Shah. My experience about
meeting her was really good. Tejal understands yourlife style, your eatign habits, daily
schedule etc and based on that gives you the most suitable plan. I started to follow the
diet plan given to me. And it was not as difficult as I had thought it to be – because it
was not a crash diet that Tejal had given to me. It was a rather balanced diet taking care
of all necessary nutrients required for our body.
I continued my workout along with the diet plan. In the first three weeks I saw a weight
loss of around 3 kgs. This motivated me even more as the rate of weight loss was much
better than before. This helped me understand for weight loss workout and balaced diet
is necessary, but following the correct diet is even more important which I could do with
Tejal’s help and guidance.

Tejal does not give you a crash diet to see immediate results, I think her ways help in
adopting a lifestyle changes which is necessary in weight loss as well as maintaining the
weight in the long term and lead a healthy lifestyle. With all these efforts, I have been
able to lose around 22kgs in a span of 7 months and look forward to reach my goal of

My transformation started with the first right decision of consulting Tejal Shah for diet.
I weighed 130 kilos back then, obese, with no confidence, a very lazy and laidback attitude. I had tried to lose weight by joining various gyms and workouts until then. They gave me minimal results in the beginning but since my food intake was unaccountable, it never helped on the long run. I learned it hard way that diet is very necessary, i would say more necessary than workouts for a healthy lifestyle. The rigorous workouts that one does in 1 or 2 hours a day is not as important as what he or she consumes during the remaining hours.
